National Adjutant’s Message

I became the NAMC National Adjutant a little over 1 year ago. Little did I know what roads I would travel and people that I would meet while in this position.  I have learned and seen lot in the past year. But what has impressed me the most is the dedication of NAMC members. How their combined effort to make the voice of the veteran heard, by living by their preamble, and standing up to those that try to impose the minority policies on the majority.

I have met some outstanding people in these couple of years while with NAMC, from all stations of life, with a driving dedication of principles. Most of these folks have been truly concerned about the views and issues of the veterans and their families. I have made some very good and close friend while NAMC National Adjutant as well as the Missouri State Director.

I have learned about the government and how NAMC has struggled to keep our beliefs and recommendation alive.  And how some politicians only speak the words, they don’t believe the words, while other are eager to help in any way.

I have learned of the sacrifice that the veterans have made while in the service and the price they are paying for now. I have seen the World War II veteran in an extremely humble light, the Korean War veterans to be a modest group. Vietnam veterans are trying to learn to cope and to adjust to be able to follow in some huge footsteps. Now, the Persian Gulf and Iraq veterans that need our help to insure that they are given their needs. It is a never-ending cycle that will continue.

So please remember, that in November 2008 we will be having National Elections for the President of the United States, and many Congressional and Senatorial seats will become open and ready to be replaced with New members and ideas, we need to start as an Veterans Organization to start looking for the support from our National Leaders campaigning to got to D.C. in 2009.  Let’s find the right people to represent us as an Organization not by party lines, but by their word’s, actions and true beliefs.
